Chris Longridge is an artist based in Kent. He works primarily in oils and explores the limitations and opportunities afforded by paint in a post-digital environment, particularly regarding portraiture and the figure.

You might remember Chris from previous hits like Sky Arts’ Portrait Artist of the Year 2020. He won his heat by painting Noel Clarke (who also selected his painting to take home) and painted Elaine Paige in the semi-final.

He returned the following year and painted Katie Piper in his heat (she also chose his painting to take home) but didn’t get any further that year.

Chris is (sometimes) available for commission - please see the Contact page for details.
